"Doctors with degrees outside the European Union are today essential to our healthcare system, it’s a reality.
This is not an immigration issue, but a matter of validating skills. It is essential that these skills be assessed, and I reiterate that.
However, I want to simplify the procedures for validating their skills, at the level of the services where these practitioners work, as is the case for our interns.
We must also bring back our health students who went abroad; there are nearly 15,000 of them currently, including 5,000 in medicine.
We need to train more and train better; this is the goal of my efforts to strengthen access to healthcare for the French people!"
